New York City
The city that never sleeps, the Big Apple or Gotham city. New York City has several different other names. In a previous life it was even called 'New Amsterdam' as the Dutch set up a trading settlement.
After trading it for Suriname, the Dutch gave the city away to the British, and there comes the name New York!
It's almost impossible to highlight the most popular places of New York City (NYC), but we're gonna give it a try.
Depends on what you want to do in NYC there are different itineraries. But let's do the 'general' one!
Begin your day with a strong breakfast in Tom's Diner. After that, take the ferry to Liberty Island to checkbox the Statue of Liberty. After that, spend the afternoon with chilling in Central Park. By the way, did you know that the Statue of Liberty was a present from the French?
On your second day, you are going to visit the neighborhood of Harlem (again, named after the Dutch city of Haarlem) and in the afternoon you go down to Lower Manhattan again. Here you will see the revival of 'Ground Zero' and the bankers at Wall Street.
In the evening you are gonna count the lights at Times Square and visit one of the theaters on Broadway.
The third and last day(s) you gonna hit the road and head for the Hamptons to enjoy some beach a few miles East of NYC.
Mind you that summers are deadly hot, and winters are extremely cold, so don't go there during those seasons.
